svastika is the oldest symbol or written word know to man, i.e. it was the first written language. It's originally symbolised crossed roads and meant meeting point. LAter it became a good luck symbol even used in western culture, brides used to wear svastika & horse shoes made of silk & lace.
Then a very clever German came along and claimed it and that is how the world recognises it now for his notorious doings.
